Robert Black

Robert is thrilled to be a part of this production of Into the Woods! He was most recently seen in Legally Blonde the Musical (Kyle the UPS Guy). Other credits include Into the Woods (The Wolf, Cinderella’s Prince), Outsiders (Darrel Curtis), Guys and Dolls (Benny Southstreet), and Rent (Mr. jefferson, Ensemble).

Sarah Do Couto

Sarah is beyond thrilled to be working with such a talented group of people in her first RMTC production. She is a second-year journalism student from Hamilton. Sarah’s past theatre credits include: Wednesday in The Addams Family Musical, Jojo in Seussical, Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The 25th Annucal Putnam County Spelling Bee.


The Baker

Matthew Downs

Matthew is excited to be able to work alongside such a talented group. He is making his RMTC debut in Into the Woods. Recent on-stage credits include: Sunday in the Park with George (Franz/Dennis) Pippin (Lewis) Godspell (Judas) Sweeney Todd (Anthony) Sense and Sensibility (Col. Brandon) Mary Poppins (Northbrook), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Finch) and Into the Woods (Narrator). Outside of theater, Matthew loves making movies and dreams to one day be as good as the guy who made La La Land. Unlike his character in Into the Woods, Matthew has no baking skills whatsoever.

Paige Mpeletzikas

Paige is very excited to be back with the RMTC family to do another wonderful show. She would like to thank every single member of RMTC for their hard work and dedication to this production, and everyone who supported her along the way.

The Witch

Olivia Deroche

Olivia DeRoche is thrilled to be making her RMTC debut in this production. She is a first year student at Ryerson pursing a Bachelors Degree in the Creative Industries. She thanks the wonderful artistic team for this opportunity and her incredible cast for so beautifully telling this story. She dedicates her performance to her little brother, who inspires her with his passion and bravery.


Cinderella

Ceilidh Harrison

Ceilidh is in her fourth year of Psychology at Ryerson and is thrilled to be a part of RMTC’s production during her final year. Ceilidh has had a passion for theatre since she was a skunk in Peter Pan when she was 7 years old. Since then, she has been in various productions including 13, Songs for a New World, Spring Awakening, and most recently, RMTC’s The Drowsy Chaperone. Thanks to her family for constant support, her roommates for listening to her sing Into the Woods on repeat, and her cat – Suki – for biting her whenever she misses a note.


Cinderella’s Prince

Emrik Burrows

Emrik is excited to be on stage with RMTC after working with the production team on set construction for the company’s previous 2 productions. After returning to stage in the fall of 2016 with the London Community Players production of The Secret Garden, he performed as 1st Officer William Murdoch in Wavestage Theatre Companies Titanic: The Musical, also doubling as the productions head set designer and builder. Emrik is a 4th year architectural science student at Ryerson University but is ecstatic to be balancing design this year with the comedic role of Cinderella’s Prince in RMTC’s production of Into the Woods.


Stepmother

Nicole Kanga

Nicole is currently studying Creative Industries at Ryerson University. She has been passionate about theatre performance since her first role as Marian Paroo in The Music Man. She has played the roles of Fantine in Les Miserables, Abuela Claudia in In The Heights, Erma in Anything Goes, Ouiser Boudreaux in Steel Magnolias and a wide range of roles in many One Acts. Nicole thanks her family and friends for always supporting her passion for theatre.

Lucinda

Kennedi Vincent

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia; Kennedi has played such roles as chorus girl in Chicago, Frumah Sarah/Rifka in Fiddler on the Roof, Thea in Spring Awakening, and Carmen Diaz in Fame. Kennedi directed her own version of Into the Woods in May 2017 in her hometown and is now beyond excited to get to experience the show from the stage! Working with the cast and crew so far has been amazing and she cannot wait to see this amazing production come to life!


Florinda/Ensemble

Ysabelle Ferrer

Ysabelle is going into her 3rd year of Creative Industries with specializations in Communications and Acting/Dance. She is super excited to be playing Florinda in RMTC’s 3rd production, Into the Woods. After being a part of the ensemble for RMTC’s previous productions, Thoroughly Modern Millie (2016) and The Drowsy Chaperone (2017), RMTC has become a second home for her. She would like to thank her friends and family for being incredibly supportive over the past years as she has grown as a performer, as well as everyone previously and currently involved in RMTC who continue to inspire her every day.


Jack’s Mother

Meghna Sarawat

Meghna is very excited to be in her first musical with the Ryerson Musical Theatre Company. Meghna has worked in plays and musicals including, Footloose, Elephant’s Graveyard, Cinderella, Concrete Daisy and Back to the 80’s. She has explored her passion for acting in studios like Lewis Baumander Acting Studios, Second City, AMAW Toronto and Larissa Mair Casting Agency. Meghna had an amazing experience working with RMTC and doing the show!


The Mysterious Man/Cinderella’s Father

Daniel Lis

Daniel has been lucky enough to be a part of RMTC since it’s founding in 2015, having roles in The Drowsy Chaperone (Feldzieg) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ensemble). Daniel attended Cawthra Park Arts High School for Theatre where he gave performances in Macbeth (Ross) and The Drowsy Chaperone (Underling). Daniel has also directed for Ryerson Community Theatre (Wherefore To Dover) during his three year involvement there. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys arriving late everywhere and helping run the Ryerson Students’ Union. As always, Daniel sends his love to his biggest fans – Mom, Teddington and Peter.


Granny

Hayley Kell

Hayley is super excited to be apart of RMTC’s Into the Woods! Past theatre credits include The Drowsy Chaperone – Mrs. Tottendale (RMTC) Mary Poppins – Ms. Larke (BMT) and West Side Story – Graziella (BMT) Aside from theatre Hayley likes knitting, baking, and strictly only other old lady activities :p enjoy the show!

The Wolf

Ethan Kim

This is Ethan’s second year as a cast member of RMTC, playing the Wolf in this year’s Into The Woods. Last year, for RMTC’s The Drowsy Chaperone, he played Aldolpho. Ethan has been involved in musical theatre productions all throughout high school, as a cast member in Sweet Charity (2011), The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee (2012), as well as The Drowsy Chaperone (2013) again. Prior to his time at Ryerson, Ethan was a member of McMaster’s Engineering Musical company (2014-2015). Ethan is excited for this year’s production and looks forward to continuing his involvement in RMTC for the next few years.

Thomas Davies

Thomas is incredibly excited to be doing his second show at the Ryerson Musical Theatre Company! He had the pleasure of playing The Underling in last year’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone, and cannot wait to play both The Steward and (in his animal-role debut extravaganza) the Birds! Thomas has also been in several other shows throughout his acting career including Aladdin, Grease, and In the Heights.


Rapunzel

Nesel Batle

Nesel Batle is a third year Business Management student majoring in Human Resources. She always had a passion for the arts and had some experience being in plays. She also loves to sing and been involved in beauty pageants, once competed internationally for Ms. Global 2011 in Jamaica.

On her spare time, she loves to spend time with her labrador, Tidus. She also loves to cook food and enjoys paint night with friends.

Rapunzel’s Prince

Boman Martinez-Reid

Boman is absolutely thrilled to be playing Repunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods. He has previously studied theatre for 4 years at Cawthra Park Secondary School. While there, Boman appeared as John Buchanan in Summer and Smoke, Seaweed J Stubbs in Hairspray, and Brutus in Julius Caesar. Currently, Boman is attending Ryerson University for Media Production. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling the world and directing and producing his own reality television series ‘Reid it and Weep.’

Snow White/Ensemble

Amanda Ho

Amanda is very excited to be gracing the stage for one final time with the Ryerson Musical Theatre Company! It’s been a great three years with RMTC and she would like to thank everyone who has made this experience such a beautiful part of her time at Ryerson. Past credits include: The Drowsy Chaperone (ensemble) and Throughly Modern Millie (Alice) with RMTC, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Secret Garden and Phantom of the Opera (HCSS).


Sleeping Beauty/Ensemble

Kayleigh Pike

Kayleigh is thrilled to be joining the cast of ‘Into the Woods’ as the title character! This is her first production with RMTC, but a few past credits include Penny Pingleton in ‘Hairspray’ (NSS Mainstage), Stacey in ‘Pitch Perfect the Musical’, and Principal McGee/Eugene in ‘Grease’ (For the Love of it Performing Arts Centre). Kayleigh is excited to join the RMTC family, but is jealous that she will never live up to the standard of being a cow that is truly as white as milk.


Cinderella’s Mother/Ensemble

Hannah Stein

Hannah is in her second year of performance dance! She has trained at the National Ballet School of Canada, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, Etobicoke School of the Arts and Opera Atelier. This is her first time being apart of the musical she is so excited to join the team! In her spare time she enjoys singing with her ukelele, choreographing, and petting her 31 pound cat.

Giant/Ensemble

Alana DelZotto

Alana is in her final year of the Arts and Contemporary Studies program and is majoring in Global Studies. Alana’s passion for performing started at a young age which lead her to train and compete in a variety of dance styles. She then went on to specialize in dance at a performing arts high school, and later studied for two years in Ryerson’s Performance Dance program. Alana first joined RMTC as an ensemble member in their first production of Thoroughly Modern Millie and is thrilled to be performing with RMTC for this years production of Into the Woods.
